Accountants’ Relay Challenge Adds Up to Funds for Children in Need

A team from HSKS Greenhalgh Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors has raised over £600 for Children in Need by completing a 75-mile relay challenge.

Sixteen runners covered the distance, a return round trip between the accountancy firm’s four offices in Nottingham, Wollaton, Derby and Uttoxeter, by running 103 laps around the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham on Children in Need Day, Friday 15 November.

The event was organised by Jonathan Pearce, himself a keen runner and a member of HSKS Greenhalgh’s accounts team.

Said Jonathan: “After floods and driving rain the day before, the run day was cold and wet underfoot but, bar a short, sharp shower at the start, the weather remained dry.  The event was a great way of bringing team members from our various offices together, as well as raising money for a fantastic cause.

“We’d like to thank all those who supported and sponsored us, but especially those who took part in the run”.

With other fundraising activities including quizzes, bingo and cake sales, HSKS Greenhalgh managed to raise £930 for Children in Need this year.
