Orchestra Family Concert
This year, the NPO has joined forces with Trinity Catholic School in Aspley to inspire and support music development in education. The school currently encourages all pupils to learn an instrument and attend regular concerts across Nottingham, with some pupils being members of Stringwise, Nottingham Music Hub groups & Nottingham Youth Orchestra.
As part of the collaboration, NPO leader Clare Bhabra, an experienced music tutor and coach, will be holding various workshops for the students in January alongside the string sections of their chamber orchestra.
NPO member Stan Bounford will also be taking a number of rehearsals with the junior string groups at the school. Pupils from the school will attend the concert in January, with the opportunity to meet presenter Nicki Chapman and pianist Ian Buckle.

HSKS Greenhalgh Director Anshu Mehan said: “We are always keen to support the arts locally and particularly an event such as this which the whole family can enjoy. We are also pleased to support NPO in the work that they do in the local community, as demonstrated by the workshops they will be providing to Trinity School.”
NPO administrator, Jean Kelly, added: “It is great to have such fantastic support from the firm and their guests. Arts sponsorship funding is not easy to find, so we are extremely grateful to HSKS Greenhalgh.”
