Television and radio presenter Nicki Chapman was the host as the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO) invited the audience to “A Night at the Movies!” at their annual Family Concert at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on 30 January.

Sponsored by HSKS Greenhalgh Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, the programme featured swashbuckling heroes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars and the Magnificent Seven, villainous goings-on in Murder on the Orient Express, the simple beauty of John Barry’s theme for Born Free and excerpts from Billy Elliott and Mary Poppins.

HSKS Greenhalgh Director Philip Handley explained the reason behind the firm’s decision to sponsor the Concert.  Says Philip: “We sponsored the Family Concert for the first time in 2015 and having enjoyed a very entertaining evening with our guests, we could not turn down the opportunity to sponsor the Concert for a second time.

As a firm we are always keen to support the arts whenever we can and particularly an event such as this which the whole family can enjoy”.

The NPO’s Administrator, Jean Kelly, commented “It is great to have had such fantastic support from the firm and their guests.  Arts sponsorship funding is not easy to find, so we are extremely grateful to HSKS Greenhalgh.  It was great to see so many children among their guests and we hope we have inspired some future NPO members.”
