HSKS Greenhalgh Looking Forward To “A Night At The Movies” With The Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra

HSKS Greenhalgh have once again been announced as the sponsors of the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Family Concert.

The theme for year’s Concert, which takes place on Saturday 30 January 2016 at the Royal Concert Hall, is “A Night At The Movies” and celebrates the glitz and glamour of the silver screen, ranging from Amadeus to West Side Story.

The programme will also feature swashbuckling heroes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars and the Magnificent Seven, villainous goings-on in Murder on the Orient Express, the simple beauty of John Barry’s theme for Born Free and excerpts from Billy Elliot and Mary Poppins.

HSKS Greenhalgh Director Philip Handley explained the reason behind the firm’s decision to sponsor the Concert again.  Says Philip: “Last year was the first time we had sponsored the Concert and the feedback from our guests was that they had enjoyed a very entertaining evening, so it was not a difficult decision to continue with our support in 2016.  As a firm we are always keen to support the arts whenever we can and particularly an event such as this which the whole family can enjoy”.

The NPO’s Administrator, Jean Kelly, commented “It is great to have such fantastic support from the firm and their guests.  Arts sponsorship funding is not easy to find, so we are extremely grateful to HSKS Greenhalgh.”

The host for the evening is television and radio presenter Nicki Chapman.  Tickets for the Family Concert are available from the Royal Concert Hall.

Founded in 1974, the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra usually gives five concerts per year, in the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham Albert Hall and Southwell Minster. A wide variety of music is played, including light and popular items in the successful annual Family Concert, to the more serious and adventurous pieces at other times of the year.
