Becky Russan

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2024, we’ve taken over Becky’s profile to ask her for any advice on how she overcomes the challenges she faces as a working mum and to find out who inspires her the most.

“I have been a Chartered Tax Adviser at HSKSG for the last five years.  Outside of work I have two children and a very energetic dog.

 

“The best bit about my job is the people.  We have a great team who really support each other and some very charismatic clients so there is never a dull day!

 

“The biggest barrier I have experienced so far is trying to balance motherhood with my career. Luckily I am able to be very open with my team about the challenges this creates, so whilst I may have taken some time out to take care of my children, I don’t feel that this is going to hold me back moving forwards.

 

“I am always inspired by every day stories of ordinary women achieving extraordinary things. I have friends who have given up everything to do something they have always been passionate about, and friends who have started a side hustle just because they can. I think they are all amazing and inspiring for taking that chance on something unknown.”
